Through the acquisition of Circulating Pumps Ltd. (Kings Lynn, Norfolk, England) the German pump manufacturer Wilo AG has further extended its trademark in Europe. With 150 employees CPL produces an annual turnover of 18 million Euros. The British company manufactures wet-runner heating circulating pumps and products for the domestic water supply. More than half of the products are exported, mainly to Western European customers.

In those markets where the CP brand has been introduced, CPL will continue with the CP brand independently in the future. Two of the previous owners, managing director Fraser Douglas, and commercial manager Peter Daykin, will continue to perform their functions and jointly ensure an orderly transition with the company board.

With the takeover of the company, which has outstanding customer relations in Great Britain and Europe, the Wilo Group realises a strengthening of its international market position. In addition, the cost-effective CPL fabrication process shall also contribute just as the possibility of a profitable international parts procurement operation.
